I thought Google decided to ditch Author Photos in July 2014?
I ran some vanity searches on my publishing brand this morning.
Logged in to Google+ and viewing Private Results, I saw two Google+ pages in the first 10 SERPS: 1 was the Google+ Page for my publishing brand, the other the Google+ Page for me as an author.
Both featured thumbnail pictures and gray byline links.
Is this something new? I don't recall seeing this before, but it may be the case that Google+ results have never stopped displaying author and publisher images alongside them and since the middle of last year I've just never particularly noticed.
