I have absolutely no idea whether it's me, my sites or whatever but Google seems to be totally incapable of indexing and ranking new sites these days other than finding irrelevant garbage and ranking it well.

How have they managed to do this so well?

Hmm in WMT I cannot download Latest links for my sites

I have been getting quite a lot of errors/time-outs in WMT in the last 24 hours, mostly with the Fetch/Fetch and Render tool.

WMT is OK but slow. I can't get adwords to load at all.

Anyone noticed a drop due to weather in the UK, US etc.

Hard to say Chalkywhite. It's #*$! slow, whatever the reason. I don't think being at the end of January helps either but hopefully the weather is to blame. My site is notoriously slow this time of year but started so positively this year I had hoped for better :)

Our traffic was up a few percentage points (compared to the previous week) during the big Northeastern snowstorm, even in Massachusetts. Revenue was up, too. Apparently people were inside keeping warm instead of shoveling snow. Or at least the ones who still had power were.

Rankings going down today.... this is getting seriously ridiculous. I have very good (natural) links, good engaging content (low bounce rate, high on-site time) and still my competitor outranks me with generic, short content. Whatever Google did with the last Penguin/Panda update in October they really need to fix it.

(first time post)

Our ecommerce conversions were down the past few days, I believe due to the snowstorm in the northeast. Conversions have picked up today already, even though we had a small (#3 to #4 on major term) ranking decrease today versus the prior few days this week.

Also be aware of CVE-2015-0235 [webmasterworld.com...]

It seems every ISP in the world scrambled to fix this, but the fix broke many sites...like mine. Traffic is at ZERO most of the day today.
