Strange Phenomenon: Title copy swapped places, Google algo rewrote my title.

I have been tweaking this site for about a year and finally got the index page where I want it on Google Search. The funny thing is it is rewriting my title. I have never seen this happen before.

Ducks 2015 Buy Breeds Wholesale | Ducks 2015 New

to

Ducks 2015 New: Ducks 2015 Buy Breeds Wholesale

A Should I take this as a good omen and leave it alone?

or

B Should I rewrite the title as I see it?

FYI I gained 4 slots when this happened.

?

This happens often now.

I wouldn't rewrite the title unless there was some other reason for doing so.

Thanks Ken,

Just trying to ascertain if I would gain more slots if I give them what they want?

Or

Does the title rewriting mean I struck a nerve and it is paying more attention to me because of it.

I am thinking the right move is to leave it alone too.

Interesting that you said that you've been tinkering with the site for a while. I have a couple of sites that Google has changed the titles on and both of them are sites that I'd recently made a lot of small changes on. Maybe that's why they did it, maybe not.

I certainly wouldn't rewrite the title. Do that too many times and you risk a penalty - I know that to my cost.

I agree with Ken. It happens a lot these days and no telling for sure what she's thinking.

I'd just think titles through. Give it your best shot. Don't keep tweaking. And let her do what she will.

You know she'll always win any way you cut it right?
She always gets the last word! ;-)

I took the pipe and extra space out because the last word wasn't showing completely. Obviously those are not the actual words or topics.

Now I have a number one, two twos, and a four. Just have to wait until the year rolls over now to 2015. Man that took a year and probably 100 combinations to do.

My last big site did a million people per week at the end but that took 15 years.

Now the worst and last part, start kissing butt with the social media. God I hate that stuff!

Ok taking the pipe out stopped the flipping and displayed the whole title. Actually gained one more slot!
