Do you have to resubmit Sitemaps XML to GWT regularly?

Hi we submitted the XML Sitemaps to Google Webmaster Tool once about a year ago.
Is this to be done regularly after some duration?
Some info on this topic would be helpful! Thanks!

To my understanding google crawls the sitemaps regular so you dont have to resubmit them. Just login to the Google webmaster program to see when the sitemap was last crawled.

Unless it's been renamed, I don't believe you need to worry about it.

Has anything changed since the last submission? I.e have you added more pages to the site? Changes the structure/urls of the site? If the answer is no then there is no need to resubmit the same sitemap.
