Would you 301 old monthly report updates that are similar over time?

I am worried about articles I have written for my site. We write a monthly report on about 5 main topics. The report is obviously different but the content structure and wording is usually the same-ish.

I've only been doing it for a couple months so not many reports but would it be common sense to 301 these to the primary page after each month? There is not a huge use for older ones.

If you've only just started, now is the time to work out a long-term URL structure. One common method is to have a generic URL that always brings up the most recent version of the page. And then add some type of human-accessible archive for any older pages.

If the content isn't worth archiving, don't even bother. Just keep popping new content into the same URL.
