Google is adding words to my meta title.

I can't work out why this is happened but I have recently changed all of my sites meta titles, however Google is adding extra words to my title.

For example,

www.example.com/samsung-tv-40inch.html

Meta Title is
<title>Samsung TV 40 Inch - Example</title>

However what is showing on Google for the heading is
Samsung TV 40 Inch - Example.com - Electrical

So it is automatically adding an extra description to the end.

The same word/category is coming up for every page - even products which are not related to the category,

Does anyone know how I can fix it?

Google has been doing title rewrites for years, recent discussions suggest it may have something to do with the user's device or javascript or being logged in or not or the perceived query or.. ?
IF the new title seems to come from an old DMOZ listing, then robots noodp metatag may help. If not, there isn't a known "fix" for it. Read what others have looked at here:

Its because, Google thinks the title you used is not worthy for users, So it will automatically rewrite your titles for users. Better write titles by seeing your competitors, then you can see your own titles

Well that sucks.. Especially since the headings are completely inline with competitors and very relevant. What Google is changing them to is something completely different to that on the actual page!.

Nope, I don't agree with that guess whatsoever, many-a-time Google's efforts makes the title worse and in some cases nonsensical, whatever it is there is no known solution for it.

My guess is that Google may "find" several sites with precisely the same or similar titles, obviously, and for the page it deems to be the most appropriate answer re-writes/shuffles the title to gauge what happens.

Recently I've noticed less of this re-writing and for some sites none at all, your mileage will vary!
