Hey lads, I am completely updating my online store (new Magento shopping cart, page design etc). I have a blog with the existing website which does not regularly get updated and has the extension /wordpress/. With the new site, I am updating the blog as well and from now on will have the extension /news/ and will cover all things such as news from my industry, new products we sell and articles. I will be updating this frequently with 2-3 articles per week.

What I am hoping to get some advice about is would it be best for me to just redirect the pages of the old blog to the new blog address. Or else completely rewrite all the articles that I have currently written and publish them as new on the new page? I don't mind rewriting them as I like writing articles. I thought the second option might have been a better choice to create more content.

For SEO, would one option be better than the other?

Anon, it's better to write new quality content for your new site blog, don't use any redirect methods because if some thing is bad in your old content, then all will be effected to your new blog if you redirected, so don't take any change, as you have new site then go for new quality content for your new Blog and use webmaster tools

Which would better serve your users (not SEO) ? That's the one you pick.
