I have found that when my article indexed, I used site:URL to see the result, found the indexed title not meta title, not H1 title, it is crumbs. I have searched many articles, some are meta title, some are H1 title, some are crumbs, some are just keyword from the content.

So what's the matter? Does meta title does not important now? How google decide index which title?

amilylorry - Google's been rewriting the "title element", as it's more properly called, for several years now. See this thread for a fairly complete overview...

We've had so many discussions on this that I suggest that you search webmasterworld.com for google titles (no quotes) to get additional discussion. You can use the "search" link at the top of all pages on the forum, or search Google with this syntax...

[site:webmasterworld.com google titles]

You'll get roughly 3,900 threads. I recommend using site search before you post, as I think it would help you get better answers.
