Hello everyone,

Please answer it is really important. I am having a website <snip> in USA. In January 2013 there was a <negative> case <about the business my website is about> which came into the local news. It's been a long time now but then also those links of the Local News website are still showing on the first page of Google. Besides it is really affecting the Alexa of my website and the SERP rankings. Please suggest how could I push those links down on the search engine results with the help of SEO. Thanks!

Might be difficult (seo won't fix this) because it appears the niche has been "poisoned" by bad press. That's got to hurt as you are an innocent third party.

The best you can do is be the best you can be and try to overcome that niche bad press by showing AND earning high marks for content, product or services, which ever it may be.
