At the moment, we have an English site with English product pages (5000+).
We also have foreign language sites (on foreign TLD's).
All the sites have a search facility. Search results are local to the domain, but link to the product pages go to the English product pages. The main reason for doing this is it would be a major task and cost to translate all the product information into the relevant language.
If we used the English product information on a localised product page, I assume that this would create far too much duplicate content (ie same product description across all the languages)
Is this the right way to do it ?
Or can I use the product pages/details on the foreign websites and then set a canonization tag pointing to the English one.
Thanks
