I just noticed within my datacenter a new "recipes" widget in the Google Search sidebar, complete with ingredient options. I own the premium .com of a major American food dish, a website that is professionally developed and hosts over 2,000+ recipes. I am the global authority on the subject, and have all the one way links to prove it. But... guess what I discovered this morning. When you click the Google recipes widget my tiny 2,100 page website is nowhere to be seen, even though I have more recipes and information on the subject than any other website in the world. Even if you type in my domain and click "recipes" in Google, nothing shows up, nada, zero results... Who does show up for my main website based keywords are LiveStrongdotcom, Aboutdotcom, and several other multi-million page content farms. To make matters worse, two of the corporate content farm recipe results being displayed where scraped from my website. Just sent off 2 cease and desist notifications...
Thank you Google! You've finally figured out a way to cut me out of my own content and keywords. Maybe with your next update you can be honest for the first time and just say that the solution to all your search spam woes is to only feed traffic to 10,000,000+ page content farm websites.
