Ah, something new to watch - thanks for the tip. I like the idea of collecting all the official stuff in one spot and immediately found a few topics I'd like to sharpen up on.

Have you noticed that Google is gearing up to become an all inclusive resource for SEO and Search Engine Marketing in general? I think they just got tired of seeing all the misinformation out there. They've got quite a bit going on in this area, especially with Webmaster Tools.

WebmasterWorld Tools? ;)

GoogleGuy > GG left the building > blogs > WMT > YT Channel (first vid is MC) > ?

We all knew they were taking notes, just not how they would use them; I think they've been overwhelmingly 'good' so far, for 'webmasters' that is.

It looks like it's going to be a good resource for many webmasters. The default video is currently Matt Cutts giving an update of his "State of the Index 2008" talk, which he gave at PubCon in Nov 2008....

At WebmasterWorld's PubCon in Las Vegas, Matt presented a webmaster-focused overview of what Google has done in 2008, and what to expect in 2009. Highlights from the year include improvements to Webmaster Tools and more communication between Google and webmasters.

The video includes some forward looks to 2009. Matt, in an official Google voice here, takes pains to say some positive things about white hat SEO.
