Done a 100% redevelopment of a PR7 site.
almost all urls are different except the home page.
Will deploy the new site on new servers.

We will be decomissioning the old site and rebranding the new site with the SAME domain.

Any tips / suggestions on how I can ensure my PR7 is preserved? (we are migrating from coldfusion to .JSP so all pages address will be different)

If your home page was indexed as the basic domain name (that is, not redirected to some longer url) and the Home Page has many inbound links pointing directly to it, those links will still be effective and will figure into the new PR calculation. However, you will be losing the force of your internal links in circulating the PR around the domain.

All your new urls will need to be spidered and indexed from scratch. So there is a potential dip in your "real PR" --, although you may never see that refelcted on the toolbar, since toolbar PR is only updated a few times a year.

You might consider keeping the old urls indexed as an "archive" that links from the new home page. This would be useful for your regular visitors and especially those who have bookmarked the page. It also retains the PR effect of any deep links you may have accrued in the past.

The archive is definetely a good idea. Keep your old pages and PR... Double for regulars looking for old pages and PR is retained for your site.

Add relevant links from the old pages in the archive to the new pages and your also gonna get some help there.
