The short answer is not really.

The long answer involves using the url removal console.

Which is really a url hiding tool and not always availible.

Be very careful in using the tool, as you ain't going to be able to undo it.

The urls will come back in 6 months, so repeated application is/may be required.

I think he means they may come *back* in 6 months - check this page for full info - see the box about urgent removal for the url removal tool:
[google.com...]

NewSkool,

First, it doesn't take 6 months to hide the urls using the console.

Didn't you read my stickymail to you?

Consider yourself lucky that there is a way to at least hide the urls from the search system.

Google could have said well use the robot controls and when we get around to fully indexing your site again the pages will be gone if you got all of the robot meta tags changed correctly.

>> Make google forget about my site?

Short answer: "you can't"

.

Longer answer: Use robots.txt or the robots meta tag, and either wait for the URLs to drop out over the coming months and years, or else use the URL console to hide the URLs for 6 months at a time.

You do serve a custom error page, with a "404" status code in the HTTP header, don't you?

That error page should contain some basic site nav to point visitors in the right direction.
