Does it hurt your PR to link to low PR sites

My site is PR6. There is another site that I know of that has a PR3 homepage, but a lot of the interior pages are PR0, and it is precisely these pages that I would like to deep-link to, but I don't want to if it will penalize me.

Likely the interior pages of the site are new and haven't been through a PR-update yet, or it could be for many other reasons that they are PR0 (no sitemap/orphan page/too many clicks from homepage for PR3).

If it looks like good content link to it... isn't that what the "web" is all about? ;)

You may wish to do a quick look over the website to make sure they aren't doing any shady SEO.

Disclaimer, only Google knows how it works.

I believe that Google will compare your site with the patterns.

In other words, if your links to PR0 are organic, on topic and there are few of them, I believe that there is no harm to link to PR0 pages. It may be even indirect benefit in avoiding the over optimization filter. However too many links to PR0 pages look suspicious and unnatural and, I believe may trigger the spam filter.

In other words the best strategy probably will be to think rather about your visitors' satisfaction than about Google.

why do you want to link to them. to pass pr or to simply link to them? if the latter, rel="nofollow"
