Hi,

I am the Webmaster of two websites. One is very huge with over 200 pages and other is very new(with pages less then 50). By looking at the current Rankings it is seen that Inner pages of both the sites has High PR then Home Page.

For example if I talk about the big site with high number of pages, then its inner page has PR of 5 but Home Page has PR of 3. Yes I have done some work on that Inner page because that page was important for me to get revenue that's why more effort have been putted into it which resulted in High PR.

My question to all of you is :
"Having inner Pages, Hight PR and More Back Links then Home page affects the rankings(in Google)? Is there any disadvantage of this approach". If yes, will it means that I should promote Home Page instead of Home page?

Waiting for replies..

I believe that you are OK and should continue to promote the pages that are worth it. As far as I know there is no reason to promote Home page just because it is Home page.
