Hello!

We published a big portal with a price comparison on December 2005 in Germany and we were happy that we got a lot of visits of the Google bot very soon. But now we think we got a penalty because we used the Amazon Datafeed (AWS).

Can anybody help us to solve the problem? We have the following questions:

a) Our portal is very big and a lot of pages use the product descripion of Amazon. Would the Google penalty also effect pages without Amazon content?

b) We will now remove the detailed product descriptions from Amazon. Is this enough to eliminate the DC penalty? How long will it take?

c) How should we do the removal of the Duplicate-Content-Pages? We plan:
- Delete the pages, Google will get 404
- Exclude them in the robots.txt
- Establish new pages without the Duplicte Content!
- Wait...
Is that the best way?

d) Some product descriptions are very helpfull für our price-comparison-customers. Would it be possible to show them by a javascript link in an additional window and exclude this path in the robots.txt. Or ist the some kind of "cloaking"?

Thank you for your help!
