Pages ending with?id=#*$!x not being indexed?

Are pages that end with?id=#*$!x (not session ids) not being indexed by G?

In my research about G nooks and crannies so far, i've noticed that some sites which have pages like product.aspx?id=#*$!x are not being as strongly indexed as they were before.

Crawling problems or is Big Daddy penalizing those urls?

The id parameter has always been problematic. Google put some crawling routines in place last year that help googlebot stay out of the information loops that can be caused, bu tprocessing such dynamic urls takes extra cycles and such sites are usually crawled/refreshed a bit slower.

At a guess, I'd say that the Big Daddy rollout problems have required some changes that make this liability show up in a bigger way right now, and I would expect to see things rebound in the future. But the strong recommendation from Google is not to use "ID" as a query parameter. Smart forum owners will make some modifications, I think.
