These days I saw Googlebot-Mobile crawling my rss feeds. Anyone know where can we look for more information about this new bot?

66.249.66.173 HTTP/1.1 Nokia6820/2.0+(4.83)+Profile/MIDP-1.0+Configuration/CLDC-1.0+(compatible;+Googlebot-Mobile/2.1;++http://www.google.com/bot.html)

Cheers

I think that is a proxy server when a user clicks on a Google result using a handheld?

This is definitely not a search result. I've found some information on my own and this is infact another googlebot targeted at the mobile device segment users.

This might be useful to read:

There's also some mention in the Google webmaster info -- under the "Remove Transcoded Pages" section:

[google.com...]

I have been getting tons of hits, 27k+, to a new site from Googlebot-Mobile/2.1 (Nokia6820/2.0 (4.83) Profile/MIDP-1.0 Configuration/C
LDC-1.0 (compatible; Googlebot-Mobile/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)).

Why, though, I have no idea. I have no mobile content on my site.

Does anyone know if this spider goes into a completely seperate index or, and I would be loving this, does this spidered content get shared to the main index as well?

Anyone know?
