Big Daddy settles down - is there an official date?

Is there any "offical date" when google plans to have big daddy completely in place?

I see all kinds of post about site issues, but of course, there is really nothing to do but wait.

We have issues with our site also. Duplicate content.

We have two sites with same content and link structure (one reflects our retail store pricing and the other mailorder/internet pricing).

I have been trying to remove one site (retail store site) for months.

If we don't come back on top. We plan to build a new site. But need to wait and see what happens.

I would name it:

"The update that shouldn't be running on 75% of the productive datacenters"

It's not finished
It's filled with crap
It should not be productive.

I have seen a site in my sector that has:

1. No links, no credit, nothing
2. Spammy setup deluxe
3. Misleading Adsense Ads

The site is up since around 1 year and has 5 Mio (!) indexed pages, Pagerank 6 and skyrocketed to a FIVE number Alexa Ranking within one month. No wonder - every search I make shows the site.

Don't sticky me for the url - I will not tell it. But when I take a look at this site - all the high level discussions we have on Webmasterworld seems like one big joke to me. Dampening filters, Sandbox, Slow Indexing, Inbounds, Outbounds, Text Density etc etc ... all crap!

Create one large database, multiply and vary the content nearly infinite and rewrite the crap in the way to create millions of virtual directories. It seems to work.

It's FRUSTRATING to see this....

Thanks

Sorry that was a typo. It's a 4 - digit Alexa Number. Yes. 4.

And the serps are full of this.

Funny thing is even the www.domain.com from spammy sites are showing up high on keywords for the pages.

Funny thing is, I have started using MSN and Yahoo now for searches because they are coming up with better content and the products I am looking for.

This is more than likely going to effect google searches soon unless they fix it. I would rather use google to search, but their index is terrible right now and full of spam.

I agree. The index is full of Duplicate Content and affilates. Matt Cuttīs spam reports donīt work. I think for them its just allow the webmasters to go on believing that they exert influence onto the index.
I tried alltheweb search and was astonished about the very good set of results. Almost free of spam and up to 90% relevance.
G* has to work a bit faster, if they donīt want to loose their #1 on search engines.

It looks like Big Daddy (for better or worse) has spread to a lot more DCs overnight from my obversations.

Personally I am not going to judge the results until after a update on the new infastructure.

>>Personally I am not going to judge the results until after a update on the new infastructure.<<

Didnīt Matt Cutts say that there will not be an update. These are the results that will settle down for a while? besides of everflux! I personaly think that there is more than everflux but haevy reorder of the results?
Maybe there is only the infrastucture applyed but no the filters yet? ( That may be the reason for the new request for SPAM reports? )

For those not following the supplemental problem there was a major change in the BD data centers this evening, Large sites that were supplemental are starting to come back. Results still to early to call.
