Are doorway pages a valuable resource for SEO

hi

i have started to optimize one site that has already more than 3000pages crawled by the google
and having almost 50 back links now the question is that when i try to search in google with the keywords of that site than the listing of that site is far far away......

As i said it is already optimized site only thing i need to changed some title of some pages.......

so in this situations can door way page help me to improve the rank of my site,Can i use doorway pages to optimize the site,people r saying that google penlized doorway..?

what should i dooooooo?

Hi, jameswatt. Naw, doorway pages don't work in Google. G finds pages through links. If there are no links to your DW page, it won't get indexed.

Google's Guidelines for Webmasters says:

Avoid "doorway" pages created just for search engines, or other "cookie cutter" approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content.
