PageRank = every page but the homepage

I have a fairly new site which has recently acquired PageRank for ... wait for it ... every page EXCEPT the homepage. It doesn't matter whether you view the root or "index.html", it's got a PR of 0. The rest, ALL other pages, have a PR of 3.

How can I fix this? The bizarre aspect is that the backlinks I have are all for the homepage, NOT the other pages!

Thanks in advance, always good to get a second opinion. :)

Welcome to the forums, Bluepark. There are at least two possible situations I can think of:

1. Google's data could be messed up -- and a lot of it is right now with Big Daddy.

2. Some people have reported this situation or worse -- home page completely missing -- when there are some "less-than-natural" inbound links (large numbers of paid links, run-of-site in several places and so on). I take that report with a grain of salt, because your competitors could use something like that to hurt you, and that doesn't make sense to me. However, there are reports, and they include seeing PR return when those inbounds are removed.

The main question is this: does your home page get traffic from Google search results? If it does, don't sweat the peripherals right now, like toolbar PR, link: operator results and so on.
