Hello everybody

We are runnning a network of websites where the images of all websites come from a common, central location of ours.

I would like to ask you what disadvantages this fact may have, particularly concerning our google positioning and ranking.

Thank you &looking forward for your reply!

I have never noticed any affect on the page's ranking at all.

I have at times suspected that the practice might help the domain that hosts the images, if it has other content. For example, an established domain pulls some images from a new domain and the new domain gains some kind of "quality signal" with Google. This is just my suspicion, mind you, and not conclusively proven at all.
