Google Earth crashes my PC

Google Earth crashes my PC. I'm on XP with SP2, its pretty rare these days for anything to crash my PC but Google Earth does, I'm surprised at Google. Anyone know a solution?

I'm pretty sure I have more than the Recommended configuration.

Your monitor use which resolution? I have also crashes at resolution higher than 1152x864 and my brother have to set at 1024x768 to get no problem.

I run Google Earth on my notebook at 1400x1050 resolution without problem.

And i though i was the only one who experienced consistent crashes with google earth. Appears i'm not along. I also noticed IE crashes after I installed SP2 on XP. My IE didn’t crash for the past 2 years! Once i uninstall google toolbar IE is stable again. Very poor coding on google's part.

That's natural. The desktop CPU over heats.
I have a Pentium-M Banias 1.3 GHz and 1.5 GB RAM

Why would CPU overheat on google earth and not while playing video games with 100% CPU utilization. Also why would it consistently crash with access violation when zooming?

It's probably because you have been looking at Military Zones such as Area 42. Google inform the Government where you have been looking and they pull you in for questioning in a couple of weeks. I'd pack your bags now and get out.
