Did you redesign last year and where did it get you.

Post Alegra, & post Jagger redesign ... are you back?

After being hit last June and being kicked off completely I didn't take the advice given by Google Guy and wait it out ... I went straight for a redesign of all my sites. I knew it would be risky, with all the talk of sandboxing and redesign penalties, but I went for it anyway. Hey, we had the staff sitting around doing nothing and I thought it would benefit to focus their efforts on something positive.

Well with this update in mid-stream, my sites have all returned to their former glory. I removed anything that might have been considered as a cheat and just settled for the simpler look of a basic html site to hopefully less annoy Googlebot.

It has taken a long time, but it's nice to see the results if those awful times.

Did anyone else redesign and if so, are you back too?

Did anyone take Google Guy's advice and do nothing? Do you think it was good advice or did it go on too long without showing results?
