We are about to relaunch our site, with powerful integrated dynamic search and navigation software. (Mercado). I am wondering if something exists that would crawl our site and create an xml sitemap for me?

We have used python in the past to create a the sitemap, but I am curious bc our IT guy insists there are indeed tools out there that will crawl the site and auto-create the map.

Any help?

The most wonderful sitemap tool I've ever seen can be found at
www-dot-rorweb.com/rormap.htm
It makes a sitemap quick as can be and then works with Google sitemaps perfectly.

I tried over 20 different tools to crawl my site and they all would hang - I assume because I have *so* many files. Then, I found this one. It works beautifully.
[xml-sitemaps.com...]

(costs $15)

There are at least two tools that can do this for you. One is called Xenu. This tool does a great job of finding broken links too. The other tool I'd recommend is one that I use to generate sitemaps for a php based site it's called GSiteCrawler.
