The Bush administration on Wednesday asked a federal judge to order Google to turn over a broad range of material from its closely guarded databases. The move is part of a government effort to revive an Internet child protection law struck down two years ago by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Google refuses to hand over any data, referring to users' privacy and company trade secrets.

Yeah I read the same thing here . [infowars.com ]

The motives are good, but where do you draw the line, the USA government is poking there noses in everywhere. Next thing you know they will be hooked up to the CIA database and scanning every search and recording IPs. You will probably get a instant fine in the mail or a Knock on the door if your search is not politcally correct.

I hope Google sticks to their guns on this.
If it forces a supreme court decision, the sooner the better, before the court gets stacked.

I applaud Google and support it for this one. After all, Google isn't there to serve any Government.
