How long does it take for G to display results of submitted sitemap?

Question about sitemap G crawling and results

I am just curious to know experience of others. We have re-launched a website of about 12K pages. We have generated Google sitemap for it and submitted to Google. Now my question is how long it would take to display our pages in Google results? I am expecting a week for crawling and after that visibility of results in different datacenter before all visible in google.com in 10 days. Am I correct?

Here is my observation, yahoo, msn and Google crawled sitemap page on second day. No further movement except msn and yahoo also crawled one new referral for the domain name.

Ok let me continue to post my observations which may help to someone like me.

After fifth day, Google crawled about 600 pages BUT the surprising thing is, it’s not from sitemap submitted, all the pages crawled so far is submitted via addurl page.

MSN have not crawled a single page from site but returns five other site's reference links. In yahoo, it has only crawled 6 pages so far.

How do you know this? Were the pages different to what you have on your sitemap? Did you add 600 pages via the add url page? There is no need for this. I don't know much about Google Sitemaps but I do know that you don't need to submit any pages via the 'add url' page to get a site crawled.

I am not submitting each page, i am submitting index page of all subsites.

I am observing sitemap account where i am getting no clue of crawling as everything is same i.e. "No data available at this time" where as in errors, i see a 404 error for a page submitted by me via addurl and mistyped while submitting. So i realized G responded to direct addurl. so i started submitting all subsite's index pages. The first day it was 10 page crawled next day 400+ then today 550+ So its all on based on my observation that’s why i posted here to have second opinion.

Ok Guys and Gals, all pages crawled in google but stats section in sitemap is still showing "Data is not available at this time. Please check back later for statistics about your site."
