Sitemap Crawl Stats Question

A month ago two sitemaps for two different sites were submitted and shortly verified by Google's Sitemap. One site shows Crawl Stats (but still has not been indexed).

The other site does not show anything for Crawl Stats. It does indicate that Google's spider crawls at least daily. Google's sitemap overview shows that the sitemap is OK and no errors are indicated. The HTML also verifies. And of course is not indexed by Google.

Is there any reason that Crawl Stats do not show for the second site? Does this indicate a bigger problem? What gives?
