Optimizing for Google Image Search

Besides desrciptive ALT tags, and of course, descriptive image tags (and maybe even file folders), any other suggestions for optimizing Google Image Search.

I suppose the ideal tag URL would be
[mysite.com...] ALT ="keyword word word"

Or is that "stuffing"?
