Suddenly today I have hundreds of visitors from google images. I have several images in #1-#10 positions; i have never beofre had visitors from googleImages. My site is 8 months old and i am seeing some better results in google.

Can this be a signal that i am released of the sandbox for general serps or do you think google images works without sandbox?

The image bot was really active a little while ago on my site. Sounds like it was on yours too. As for the sandbox - are the image searches the same as the ones you'd like to get in the regular serps? If so, maybe it works separately and you've made a great discovery.

I know I am getting a lot more hits in google images. My serps are awful with google. Very few real hits. Did a search in images yesterday and most of mine are #1. But I am no where in the first 500 returns in the web search.
I even have one image located on a page that google mysteriously dropped from the index recently and it is #1 in images. These are equipment items.

images=love me.
serps=hate me
