An accurate representation?

After reading the Google 2005 year summary, I must admit I find the results rather questionable - 'Janet Jackson' as the most searched term of 2005? I somehow doubt it.

I assume this is a PR-editied list to display a view to 2005's search results, it is quite different to what tools such as WordTracker are telling me about what the most popular search terms are.

How accurate are these listings? Do you think they are a pure representation of searches, or a PR/Marketing list compilied purely for the masses?
