I wonder whether things would really be any different if they weren't around. We always think that the latest technologies are totally indespensible, but lets face it ... they're just another poxy search engine. Would I be able to find what I want without them? Yes. Would there be another dozen search engines out there to replace them? Yes. When I search Google does it help my life in any way more or less than any other search engine? No.
So what makes them so special?
