New Domain with Double Keywords

I had a great idea for a domain that sounded cute and catchy with www.keyword-e-keyword.com, kind of like my-oh-my.com. I'm not interested in duplicating the keyword for seo purposes. Quite to the contrary. I use white hat seo on all my sites and want to make sure that this project is worth the effort. What are the chances of having my keyword twice in the domain name getting my new site penalized? Thanks for any replies in advance :)

I do not believe it makes a difference what you call your domain.

agreed. don't think google cares what your name is. It might help the spider to understand what your site is about tho.

All domain names have the same chance of ranking as other domains. Whether the keyword is in the domain name makes no difference whatsoever.

When you have a keyword in your domain name, people linking to you tend to use the link text of your domain name or other words that are in your domain name, such as your company name. It's the link text that makes the difference, not the domain name.

I've done some testing, and having your keyword in your domain name is just as good as it is in the folder name or the filename--or the subdomain.

keyword-keyword.com (e.g., widgets-widgets.com) is more spammy than widgets23.com.

domain name plays little role but not something you should focus more then content and title .I think if your content is as good as other sites, but you have the keyword in your domain then you get an extra point

Back to the topic though, use your double keywords in the address, I don't think it will be a problem and could problem be a bonus.

for example - pompoms.com

Sorry...about that one.

However having a heavy keyword address, may restrict your level of optimisation on the other variables if you get where I am going with this. Because one variable is optimise, you may want to slowly tweak your site so as not to trip any filters or whatever you want to call them!

Thanks for the encouragement :) I'm going to go with it then.

and so you should. I don't beleive that google will penalize you for an excessive keyword in domain name!
