Have any of you experienced a long wait before beeing added to the google directory? Im talking serveral months before your site was "let in"? my site (which wassubmitted 10th november) are not let in yet.. other engines haveno problems spidering the site... Google havevisited, but nothing has happened.. Another site of mine is in google, but only one entry is shown on aurl search www.mysite.com/ thats all it shows.. any idea about whats wrong?

Hi - do you mean the Search Engine or the Directory (Dmoz) - if you are talking about the Directory then you may have a long wait.

As far as the search is concerned, which is probably more likely what you are talking about, then check this DC [64.233.179.104...] in a couple of days and see if you are listed there - this is a test DC and when it is displaying shows pages crawled by a different Google robot.

Also concentrate on building more backlinks to help Google find your site etc.

There is the odd report that Google is not crawling to much at the moment (esp new sites) - but as I say - keep an eye on the above DC in the next couple of days to see what happens.

Could also be your hosting. I have a friend that had a site for two years. Never got indexed. Checked on her host in google. It wasn't listed either. Either they were banning bots or google just decided that one was a bad neighborhood and banned the whole ip block.

Hi all,

i have the same experience. I started submitting my site three months ago (search engines+directories including google). It has about 150 backlinks (MSN) and is indexed in every search engine i submitted to - excepting Google. I em using Adsense, i have a verified sitemap, my site is on free host (atspace) - lots of other sites on this freehost are indexed by google, i dont have any robots.txt, any "bad neighbour" backlink, so why the hell its still not in google?

A friend of mine has a site - no backlink, he just submited his site using "Add url" and was indexed in one week. Can anyone tell me what went wrong here?

maybe they dont add new sites with adsense.. Isure would like to know why... wonder if it would help writing them and offering to begin on addwords but wanna be indexed before starting an adwords campaing. :-)
