My name is paul , I am from Johannesburg South Africa.
This is my 1st posting so I'll make it a hello post as well.
I have 2 questions regarding the next PR Update
I have a site that has over 500 backlinks and am trying to predict its next pagerank.
I want to get a listing of all the backlink's PR
anyone know of a site or a tool that does that without me doing it manually?
and secondly, from what I have seen, there are 2 PR7's about 7 PR6's maybe 50 or more pr5's and the rest are 4, 3 2 etc
I guess that the average rank is 3 , give or take
any idea what I could expect my next update to be?
thanks in advance
We don't usually allow tool recommendations here -- many members have their own tools online and self-promotion would take over quite rapidly. That being said, such tools definitely exist, and just a bit of searching can turn up quite a few (I think something simple like [SEO tools] or [backlink PR checker] should do it. I'd suggest using one that requires you to use your own key for the Google API.
That said, PR is such a small part of the total Google algorithm -- and the reported toolbar PR is also approximate and out of date. So I'm not sure what this prediction could gain for you in practical terms you could take action from.
So I would suggest not spending a lot of energy on this. But if you want to go ahead as an exercise -- remember that how many total links are on the linking page is also major factor in the PR portion of the algorithm. There are tools out there that also gather this important information.
