PR up, SERPS down

why?

at the beginning of Jagger, my site went from PR5 to PR6 but since then, all my KWs have been gradually dropping down the SERPS every week - the only hope I have is the test DC where I am back to where I used to be (or thereabouts)

does anyone know why this could be happening?

Because PR is just one factor of many in the alogrithm that ranks the pages in the SERPS. That's why a PR3 page can and often does outrank a PR7 page for the same search term.

I would also add that if you use regular methods to get PR, e.g. Google toolbar, you never see you current PR. You see something averaged and from the past several month.

Therefore the regular official PR does not correspond neither to your current SERP nor internal *current* PR that Google uses.
