Has anyone received any advantage from adding google's searchbox to the site?
When users search, they do click on the ads with quite a high CTR.
Advantage in the natural SERPS, pretty darn hard to tell.
Go for it, nice feature for your users.
Remember, it's about the users, not you!
There was a discussion long time back that adding the search box to a site increases deep crawling, dont know whether its true or now,
Better of to think in User point of view, if you like your visitors to use google search feature you can definetely add it to your site,
