I have, on my site, some "Duplicate Content" pages caused for some mistakes in the rewrite url process.

I'm not able to explain in english very well, so I'll make an example:

If I search with Google in my site (using site:mysite.com) using the keyword for these pages I find 2 results for my site:

www.mysite.com/the-page.html
without any url and descriptions

and another one with

The Page
Descriprion of this page
www.mysite.com/folder/the-page.html

But I need to hold in serps only the first one:How could I do?Could I use the Google removal console to exclude the www.mysite.com/folder/the-page.html page?

Thank you

Tintin

The problem you have is that the url you want is showing only the url, and the url you don't want is fully indexed. I'd be concerned that using the removal tool would leave you without any traffic from either version, at least for a while. Can you change things so that googlebot cannot find any links that use the url you want removed?

tintin-do NOT use the removal tool for this..you will be sorry. Look at your site navigation for the answer.

If there is any way to make the duplicate content pages go 404 without hurting you...maybe a custom 404..then that would be the way to go.

can't you just do a 301 permanent redirect to the correct page?
