Has anyone recovered position?

My eyes are falling out of my head from analyizing what's gone ahead of us and where we are to no end. From what I can see the only difference is the whole www and no wwww deal - our site seems split in two, but both home pages have equal page rank.

I've yet to read about anyone moving up in the SERPS again unless it was during a flux/roll back time period.

I'm seriously starting to think I don't have a clue here.

Same here! I dropped out way before Jagger and have not recovered at all. To find my site its more of a lucky dip, it moves around the SERPS like a good hooker in an expensive bar!

I have no idea what to do, might just start again!

We don't move - at least we haven't dropped anymore :D

We don't go up or down - our second listing goes up and down ten or so positions.

I've been reading A LOT about this update all over the place, but have yet to see anyone say they've recovered.

We moved back up to either #5 or #3 for our main keyword (very competitive 2.4 billion results) - back from being at the near bottom of the 2nd page. Traffic has also increased by about 50%, but still a little down compared to where we were pre-Jagger. I see our pages back in many of the keywords we lost, though there are still quite a few where our rankings can be improved.

What we did thus far --

a. trimmed our links/resources pages and focused tightly on sectors related to our niche (we dropped 5 sections that are only marginally related to us)
b. add more original content (duh!)
c. run several press releases to get more one-way inbound links (expensive but works well)

Some folks here told me that we have the www and non-www problem. We did not do anything about that. Still, traffic is slowly coming back from the grave. Now, if only my Adsense CPM goes back up from the trenches where it went, I'd be a happy camper.

Upon jagger 3 i went from number 2 to number 15... sometime between then and now i have gone back to number 11 for my keyword..

I spoke too soon. I'm now #1 for my key phrase - but I wasn't yesterday. Strange. (But good!).

3 weeks after Jagger3 Update my site is in SERPs from nowhere to 60th Position for couple of keywords. And this results are showing in many of Google DCs.

My Results:

Pre-Jagger: #1 for several KW in my sector.
Oct-16-2005: No-where to be found. Appeared to be removed from the index.
Jagger1: Back in the index at #255
Jagger2: Up to 92
Jagger3: Back to #1, but not for all KW as Pre-Jagger, but still fairly decent (1st page).

What did I do? Skimmed down OB links, eliminating ones that don't really pertain to my sector, or appeared to be "Spammy". By "Spammy", I mean sites that have prominant AdWords for the topic at the top of the page, and little original content. I'm much more picky on which links I accept.
