Does Google ever respond to "Help" requests

I have been waiting a month for pages to be removed.

On Oct 29th 2005, I submitted via the removal tool a request for Google to remove 20 specific pages that we would like removed. As of Today, they are still shown as pending. Before submitting the pages, I made sure that a proper 404 error was being served by using 3 simulated header checkers. All show that a proper 404 error is being served.

In the last 15 days, I have submitted 3 request via Google "Help" form inquiring as to why these have not been removed and what if anything I could do to assist Google in getting these pages removed from there index. I have never gotten any response and frankly feel a little frustrated.

Is Google's "Help" function just some smoke and mirrors thing that nobody is really staffing? I mean,why have it if you are not going to devote any attention to it?

P.S. I am aware that many say that Google does not really remove the pages that we request be removed, but rather hides them.

Anybody experiencing similar problem getting Google help to respond regarding none ranking issues?
