Google is dropping tons of indexed pages.

ive seen multiple sites drop 500k - 1 million indexed pages in the pass few weeks... ive experienced a 400k + drop... i wonder whats going on...

anyone know why index page counts are going down? is google getting strict on the amount of indexed content any one site can have?

Maybe they are finally counting accurately. There have been a number of posts here from people whose sites had page counts of about double what they really were.
