Hi

I am about to upload my new portal which is going to be on a global IP because I have bought SSL for it.

Question is is there a chance of crawling http and https both versions of site as separately by google? if yes, whats the precaution?

If you do a search-engine search for Google Information for Webmasters you'll should find the answer to your scenario there.

Google follow links. It can crawl both http and https. Make sure you define upfront which links are http and which ones are https.

Hi

I checked Google information for Websmasters but could not fine anything related to this issue.

Also when I approached my hosting comapany they said they can not put a 301 redirect on non-www version as I am on a shared server and that this SSL (https)creates some more complications

*** I am not a tech junkie so please ignore my imited knowledge on this subject

Can anybody please help precisely?
