Different Google cache dates

Seeing different cache date on results and cached page

When searching for "widget" in google we get something like this:
"url" - 55k - 8 Nov 2005 - Cached - Similar pages

This means that the page was actually cached on 8 Nov 2005. When I click on Cached link, I get this on the top:

This is G o o g l e's cache of "url" as retrieved on 26 Oct 2005 18:37:57 GMT.

So, the 2 dates are totally different. What does this mean? Problems with google? Or google tried to access "url" on 8 Nov 2005, but there was a problem with the "url" server and could not access the page, this is why it reverted to an old cache date.

Any comments?
