Newsknife has been rating news sites for a couple of years based on their appearances at Google News.

We're now focusing on helping news sites do well at Google News. We're rolling out new ratings and analysis.

Newsknife looks at listings not just on the Google News home page but up to 10 sub-pages deep for each story. This helps sites judge their overall performance.

For instance, this month we're featuring the sites we found with the most appearances on Google News home page as a % of the site total. We discuss why the winner, The Christian Science Monitor might have done so well, and we show it's no fluke. They've done consistently well during the last 12 months.
