404 or 301?

Hi

I've been hit by jagger, presumably because my cms was generating dupes. I've now written a better optimized cms from scratch and am moving all my content to it.

I'm planning to 301 the real article pages, but should I 301 the print views to the same articles or just 404 them?

Any other suggestions, besides submitting a sitemap, to get google to notice that I no longer have duplicate content?
