Featured Products on Home page

I have featured products that change....

I have featured products on our home page that change every 5 days. There are 5 of them.

I am wondering if content changing on my home page like this is ok and even if it is helping our internal products pages to get spidered.

Just making sure there are not pitfalls that I am not aware of.
