Site Down / Same Server As Webmasterworld

2 days down: Question about spiders & crashes.

Yes, my site was on the 1.0 platform with a certain hosting company, same as this forum, and our site was down about 48 hours before we stopped believing the damage control hype and moved servers.

Question: If a spider attempted to visit our site during this interval, what are the theoretical implications...?

Will the spider return again? Can we be purged from the Google index or fall in the SERPS? Any thoughts on possible repercussions?

Would love to hear from others who have had similar horror trips...
