Google appears to be losing the plot! I consider myself to be a customer as I use G for research and have been known to click on sponsored listings, thereby earning them money as an end user.

Over the last month research has been almost impossible as the listings change so frequently and show so many irrelevant sites they become almost unusable.

Small highly relevant sites that provide exceptional background information on certain subjects appear to be cast aside in favour of big business, scammers and spammers.

Genuine sites that have been carefully and lovingly built to enable the end user to find the information they need have been consigned to the electronic vault, possibly never to see the light of day again.

I also fail to see why G seems to be taking such a strong anti affiliate stance. If someone has taken the trouble to provide the information that enables me to make a buying decision, then why shouldn't they have the opportunity to receive a monetised thank you from the seller, after all they have just pointed me to what I was looking for, which unfortunately for G is more than they are doing at present.

Buck up G or you are likely to become the next Alta Vista.
