Drop in SERPS, DMOZ cause?

How powerful is the DMOZ link?

Back in mid August I dropped from 1 - 4 on SERPS for a variety of key terms in my industry to 10 - 14 on SERPS.

Coincidentally (or not) I was dropped from the DMOZ category listing in late July.

In these SERPS results, pretty much everything stayed the same except for me. I lost about 20 or so backlinks but added 15 (I have 900 total).

Would losing the DMOZ link impact me that much?
